Bad Day Turns into Good Day

For about the fifth time this summer heading into the 2012 deer season I decided to go out and check the Trail camera with my dad. While taking our usual 30 minute hike to where we have put the trail camera we were surprised to see that it was gone. I couldn't believe that some one would actually take another persons trail camera when we are just trying to get n edge on the game like anyone else. It was very disappointing to see that someone would do this, but that is what you get for leaving it on public ground. I thought something was up from the last time we checked this certain area and we had no pictures on the camera but you could clearly see deer tracks from the day before. This just tells me that there is something on that camera someone doesn't want us to see, but we will hunt there anyways. Oh well though, you cant trust anyone and for now on I will be padlocking my equipment. I don't know why someone would feel the need to steal one.But i hope it helped him with what ever he needed it for so bad, and hope karma gives him what he deserves. After all the cussing and venting we checked our other trail cameras that were still up.We were happy to catch another deer on camera that we never saw before. So in the end it was a really bad day for checking trail cameras, but it is nice to know what is in the area now. Thanks for checking out the article and tell your friends about TNT Adventures so they can like the page. Thank you, Tyler Nolen

Gorilla Camera Arm

Preparing for the 2012 bow hunting we have decided to out this year and put the Gorilla camera arm to the test. After talking to buddies who have used this product and reading reviews from other hunters all I did was hear great things. The camera arm only weighs three pounds and for the price of only 39.99 this camera arm was to hard to pass up. It swings around 360 degrees and can tilt up and down 180 degrees. With a four point mounting plate and a ratchet strap attachment there is no need to worry about it staying locked in. The camera arm can hold up to 5 pounds which is great for those beginners just starting to film their hunts. It is very smooth turning and doesnt take much at all to get it to your desired spot of interest. We are excited to try out this new camera arm and we recommend everyone checks out this camera arm. The camera arm can be found at  http://www.gorillatreestands.com/camera-arm where they have plenty of information and helpful reviews. Thanks again for reading this post and enjoy the outdoors, Tyler Nolen

Excitement for the Upcoming WaterFowl Season

In 12 more days  will be the start of the early season duck season and us here at TNT Adventures are getting excited. Some states already started their season  and we are hoping everyone is having success out in the field either with shooting a lot of ducks or just have a great time with family. On the 22nd of September I will be heading out with some great friends and family. Every year since I was about 16 we will head out the day before and grill some food, plays some cards, and reminisce about the past memories we made while duck hunting. This year will be no change we will be doing the same thing and having a blast while doing it. We attached some pictures from last year of just a couple out of all the hunts we had. Hope you are enjoying your hunting season if it has started or if you a preparing for your upcoming season like we are! Thanks, Tyler

Opening Day Dove Hunt

Well the time was finally hear it was opening day for dove hunting. Words cant describe how much fun I had out there today. Not only killing a few doves but spending time with my Dad and my brother James. I remember like it was yesterday when I was young going out with my dad and my brother not being able to pull the trigger yet but watching my dad hunt and loving every minute of it. Through the last 10 years I have been hunting there is no one else I would rather be out hunting with then these two. It was a beautiful morning today with lows in the 70s to start off then getting warmer as the day went on. Like I said this was my first time dove hunting but it was fun to get some shots in and just having a blast with my family. We were able to get 6 doves all together and two of them were actually banded doves and I didnt even know they banded doves. Anyways, I hope everyone enjoys this video and feel free to post a comment or message us. From us at TNT Adventures have fun, and enjoy the outdoors....  check out the video at this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnhMylmCGCA&feature=youtu.be

HSS 350 UltraLite Xtreme Safety Harness/Safety

By tomorrow there will be hunting seasons starting up around the Midwest so today I would like to talk about some safety features and how we at TNT Adventures stay safe with the HSS 350 UltraLite Xtreme Safety Harness form Hunter Safety System. This product is one of the most reliable harnesses on the market today. The vest itself only weighs 2.5 lbs so it is very easy to walk long distances and rugged terrains and not have to worry about straps flying everywhere. The vest is very comfortable with its padded upper straps so you don't feel the straps pulling down on you when you sit in the stand. While in the stand the trim fit straps make moving very easy while in the stand so you are not restricted in your mobility. Last year in November i was out in a ladder stand and thought to myself I wouldn't need a safety vest on that day because i will only be up 12 ft in the tree but i was wrong. It was about 2 30 when i got in the stand and after a long day of working in the hospital i decided i will kick back and relax. I ended up falling asleep in the stand and  all I remember is me falling from my stand and landing on my right side. I woke up and was in shock of what just happend and lucky enough i only had a couple bruises and scratches. If i was ten more feet up in the tree I dont know if I would still be here today. I am a very lucky hunter for getting away from that incidence with only some bruises and i wish that upon no one. For now on i am always wearing a safety harness and I hope everyone else will after reading this article. So this year I am going out and buying one of these reliable and affordable safety harnesses from Hunter Safety System. Tanner tried it out last year and he felt like he didn't even have one on. We highly recommend that everyone goes out and takes a lot at this product. You can see this product at  http://www.huntersafetysystem.com/ultralite-x-treme/ . From all of us at TNT Adventures thanks for reading the article, stay safe, and enjoy the outdoors.

Early Season Scouting 08/28/2012

After a long day of clinical and work me and Tanner Foxhoven decided to do some scouting for a couple of hours. At first we didn't see much but we had a couple of fields we wanted to check out and if we had to wait we would. It has been warm outside this last week and its even suppose to get hotter but we decided that you are not going to get footage unless you give it a shot so we did. We were a little shaky at times especially trying to get them 200 yards out but all in all we got some decent footage and i hope everyone enjoys. As always don't be afraid to leave a comment or email me at nolent@briarcliff.edu with any responses. You can also check out the video if the quality is bad on here at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hRo-nMB2X8  From the founders of TNT adventures Tyler and Tanner thanks for watching and good luck this season.

Dove hunting/Preseason Scouting

With hunting season coming just around the corner I would like to talk about the upcoming dates and previews of what is to come later this week. Starting  September 1st is the newly brought in dove season from a couple years ago. Myself personally i have never gone dove hunting before and never had the urge to go out and hunt them but my father has asked me along with my brother to go out and give it a shot. It will also be a good way to break in the gun with duck season coming right around the corner. Also, sometime this week i will try to head out to this bean field less then half a mile from where I hunt and try to get some footage of this great buck i have been seeing. To wrap it all up i will try and get a video posted by sunday of the dove hunt with some pictures and hopefully get some footage of some deer before they all get rid of the velvet. One more thing, I would like to thank everyone who has been visting the blog in three days its already up too 120 views and i hope to see this number keep rising. If you have any comments or concerns don't be afraid to comment or send me an email.

Thanks again and hey enjoy the outdoors,Tyler

Trail cam pics

Went out today with the ol man to check some trail cameras and get some good exercise walking the hills. We kicked up a couple of does today and found a lot of fresh tracks. While checking the Hunten trail camera we saw a couple of little bucks and a hole lot of does but it still gets us excited for the 2012 season.

GSC30-30IR Hunten Trail Camera

This is the one and only kind of trail camera i use. I picked up a couple of these trail cameras at scheels when they were on sale and i have been satisfied ever since then. This camera is at a cheap price of 79.99 and can be bought at http://www.huntenoutdoors.com/products/GSC30%252d30IR.html but dont let the price fool you it is one of the best cameras i have purchased. Especially during the early times scouting and trying to figure out where we are going to find spots for stands this camera develops great pictures and videos. It is a 3.0 mega pixel camera with 1 second trigger speed. The camera comes with 2 bungee cords and they work surprisingly well for mostly smaller trees. It can be run by 4-c cell batteries and I have only changed batteries twice in the last month and a half. This is a great camera for those who dont have the money to spend but want to know what is walking around on their properties.

Introduction of TNT adventures and Preview of 2011 Deer Season

My name is Tyler Nolen and I am a avid hunter from northwest Iowa. This blog is all about weekly updates on what we are up to every week for preparation to deer hunting season and the actual season itself. I dont consider myself a pro but a current student showing my adventures in the outdoors. I will be filming for another passionate deer hunter, Tanner Foxhoven. We are both in love with the outdoors and we hope everyone enjoys this blog and dont be afraid to leave comments on how we can approve.  Here is a preview from our 2011 deer hunting season. We were un able to connect with a deer. With a couple of misses and injurying a deer we are getting excited for the 2012 season for some redemption.
